The CAiSE 2026 Doctoral Consortium aims to attract PhD candidates working on foundations, techniques, tools, and applications in the Information Systems Engineering field. At the Doctoral Consortium, the participating PhD candidates will have the opportunity to present their research and to get feedback from an audience of peers and senior faculty in a supportive environment. The participating PhD candidates will receive constructive reviews on their submission, as well as personalized guidance by Doctoral Consortium mentors regarding their research program and presentation at the Consortium event. Accepted papers will be published by Springer in a CAISE Forum + Doctoral Consortium proceedings volume within the Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series. Participants of the CAiSE Doctoral Consortium will be subsequently eligible to submit their PhD thesis (after the degree is granted) for a CAiSE PhD Award.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fd899a2 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"fd899a2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b00a6ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b00a6ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><div><h2><span lang=\"EN\">Submission Process<\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PhD students interested in engaging in detailed discussions on their research at the Doctoral Consortium are invited to submit a paper (written in English) that outlines their thesis work and follows the mentioned points:<\/p><ul><li>Clearly formulate the research questions investigated in the thesis<\/li><li>Identify a significant problem in the field of Information System Engineering<\/li><li>Outline the current status of the problem domain and related solutions<\/li><li>Describe the research methods that are applied or proposed and the expected artifacts<\/li><li>Outline the contributions of the applicant\u2019s work to the problem domain and highlight their uniqueness<\/li><li>Present any preliminary results achieved so far (mainly relevant for late-stage PhD students)<\/li><li>Conform to Springer\u2019s authors guidelines and use their LaTeX or Word proceedings templates<\/li><li>Not exceed 8 pages in LNCS format<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The paper should be single-authored by a doctoral student. The main evaluation criteria are relevance, originality, significance, technical soundness, accuracy, clarity, and the expected benefits to the PhD candidate from participating in the Doctoral Consortium.
