Theme: Rethinking Information System Engineering in a continuously changing information system world

We are pleased to announce that the 38th edition of the International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE) will be held in Verona, Italy, in June 2026.

For the 2026 edition of CAiSE, the theme will focus on the need for a substantial revision of its theoretical, methodological, and operational foundations. The s because, classical paradigms, developed in an era characterized by relatively stable requirements and well-defined system life cycles, are increasingly inadequate for managing the complexity, volatility, and interconnectedness of today’s digital ecosystems. Therefore, the theme for this year’s CAiSE conference is Rethinking Information System Engineering in a continuously changing information system world.

CAiSE represents a reference event for the dissemination and discussion of innovative research in the field of information systems engineering, attracting a heterogeneous international community composed of scholars and professionals.

We look forward to welcoming you to CAiSE 2026 to contribute together to the advancement of information systems engineering.
